What is the safe procedure when completing a left turn at an advanced green arrow and then the arrow turns yellow?

Why not just pull over anywhere near the curb and then reverse and get to the desired distance from the curb using the right side mirror? That's what I have been doing all my life and it works!

This is the dumbest thing. It almost got me killed when I first moved to BC. In most of the world and nearly all of Canada, a flashing green light means you have right of way and can turn left without yielding to other traffic. How many people has BC killed with this?

Same in Ontario that if a driver is turning right, they are to turn to that 'available right lane because any driver that turns right, & overlaps the available lane, is declared a dangerous driver!

Firstly the reference point will depend a lot on the angle your car is towards the curb. Secondly, usually there are other cars parked along the road so in real circumstances most likely you won't have that much distance alongside the curb to straighten your car.

Unfortunately, I failed my road test to slow down below 30 in a school zone without any designated 30km/h sign :(

Question about the left hand turn lane shown in this video… it turns into an intersection left hand turn later on…. If I’m turning at the intersection, Can I enter the turn lane where the line is yellow? Or do I have to enter in where it’s a broken white line? (If turning left at the light) We have one of these near our place and I always wait for the broken white line, but the person teaching me says I can cross the yellow line. (Because it’s all a left hand turn lane) I’m not sure what the right answer is! (I wait because I’m not turning into a driveway, but using the intersection.)
